A member of United States Vice President Mike Pence’s personnel had tested positive for COVID-19 or coronavirus disease 2019, according to an official from the White House.

This, as a White House official stated that US Vice President Mike Pence’s flight to Iowa was delayed, prompting to disembark some passengers on Air Force 2 before departure. As per the report, it wasn’t clear if the infected member of Pence’s staff had been aboard Air Force 2.

The said news increased fears of infection to top officials who initiated the COVID-19 task force which supervised the country’s federal response to the COVID-19 crisis.
