Update on the Total Coronavirus Cases in the World Now Amid Pandemic

TOTAL CORONAVIRUS CASES – The total cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the world is approaching the 3-million mark.

In December 2019, the rest of the world witnessed reports from China about a so-called “mysterious disease” that affected the city of Wuhan. It infected many of the people in Wuhan.

The cases continued to increase and Wuhan was left under an outbreak by a new coronavirus. The Chinese authorities locked down the city. Over 81,000 people were infected in China and at least 3,300 died.

Beginning January 2020, cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the different countries outside China. The World Health Organization (WHO) officially called it as COVID-19.

Now, COVID-19 has spread across the globe. More than 200 countries worldwide got confirmed cases of the disease and, unfortunately, thousands of patients lost their battle against the disease.

Based on the global tally of Worldometer, the total coronavirus cases in the world now is approaching the 3-million mark. There is now a total of 2,994,436 cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the different countries.

Out of the nearly 3-million total coronavirus cases in the world now, 987,160 of it were recorded in the United States. Based on the tally, U.S. also holds the highest COVID-19 death toll at 55,413.
