Thailand Reports New Coronavirus Death, Additional COVID-19 Cases

Thailand reported new coronavirus fatality and additional COVID-19 cases.

Thailand on Saturday reported that the country had one new coronavirus death and 53 additional COVID-19 cases.

This, as a 48-year-old man, who was infected with the said virus, died due to coronavirus disease 19 or COVID-19.

In a report from Reuters, fifty-three (53) new COVID-19 cases were identified as follows:

  • One (1) infected patient had no known links
  • Three (3) infected patients were linked to previous COVID-9 cases
  • Seven (7) infected patients were reported from the southern province of Yala, according to Thailand’s Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration spokesperson Taweesin Wisanuyothin
  • Forty-two (42) infected patients were migrant workers who were currently under quarantine inside the immigration detention center at the southern province of Songkhla in Thailand

As per the report, Thailand had reported a total of 2,907 COVID-19 cases and 51 coronavirus deaths. Also, a total of 2,547 infected patients were already recovered and went home.
