Over 70 Families on Self-Quarantine After Pizza Delivery Boy Tested Positive for COVID-19

PIZZA DELIVERY BOY – A guy working on a pizza restaurant in New Delhi, India tested positive for coronavirus and more than 70 families have to be monitored.

More than 200 countries across the globe now are fighting against a common enemy – the coronavirus or COVID-19. It is a pandemic that caused the locking down of several nations.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the fight against coronavirus is going to be a long-term battle. Countries with confirmed cases must really implement strict measures to prevent the spread of the infection.

One of the reasons why COVID-19 can spread fast is that a person can be carrier even without showing any symptom at all. For the symptomatic patients, they may experience flu-like signs.

People who had a contact with a confirmed coronavirus patient must be monitored. Based on a report on Gulf News, in New Delhi, over 70 families now are monitored after a pizza delivery boy was infected with COVID-19.

The patient is working in a popular pizza restaurant in Malviya Nagar in India’s capital New Delhi. According to the report, aside from the 72 families placed under self-quarantine following a pizza delivery boy testing positive for COVID-19, his colleagues were also quarantined.

There is not a need to panic but everyone who had a contact with the delivery boy must be informed about his condition to observe proper measures. He is now being treated in a hospital while there is a daily monitoring on everyone he had a contact with.
