Agusan Police Donates Their Meal Allowance to Buy Food Packs for Poor Residents in the Area

Agusan police use their meal allowance to buy food packs and donated it to poor families in two barangays in Buenavista, Agusan Del Norte.

A group of generous police officers from Regional Mobile Force Batallion 13 (RMFB13) have donated their one-day meal allowance to help the less-fortunate residents of Barangay Manapa at Barangay Tinago.

RMFB13 Acting Force Commander Police Lt. Col. Dexter Ollaging explained that they prioritize the poor residents whose jobs were affected after President Rodrigo Duterte placed the entire Luzon under an enhanced community quarantine.

The group collected a total amount of P140,000 from 700 police officers who donated P200 per person. The generous cops bought dried fish, chicken, and vegetables and distribute it to the poor families.

Last week, a group of police in Butuan City also gave fresh fish to the residents.

Meanwhile, the Coastguard Surigao del Sur gave food backs to the residents living at the market site. The food packs contain rice, canned goods, instant noodles, and leaflets with health tips on how to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease.
