3 New Coronavirus Cases Recorded in Taguig City

TAGUIG CITY – The local government of Taguig confirmed three (3) new cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus or COVID-19.

The Department of Health (DOH) has recorded 140 confirmed cases of coronavirus as of this writing. According to the health department, 12 patients died of the disease.

The said new strain of coronavirus has became a global concern. It affected several countries across the globe including the United States, Iran, Italy, and South Korea. It was initially recorded in China.

Currently, the Philippines is implementing measures to curb the spread of the disease. Metro Manila is now under a “community quarantine” following the increasing cases of COVID0-19.

Local government units (LGUs) did their part to make announcements whenever there are confirmed cases of COVID-19 in their areas. In some places, the announcements were spearheaded by the city or municipality mayors.

Recently, the government of Taguig City gave an update over the confirmed cases of coronavirus in their area. Based on a report on Manila Bulletin, three (3) new cases were recently recorded.

According to the city’s health department, the coronavirus patients are now in isolation and are being treated. Based on the report, there is currently a total of four (4) confirmed cases in the city.

The authorities are doing contact tracing after a case confirmation. Those people the patients had a close contact with must be monitored to curb the disease’s spread.
