Is the legal battle of Jobert Sucaldito versus DZMM like the part battle of Jay Sonza versus ABS-CBN?
The legal battle of radio entertainment host Jobert Sucaldito versus DZMM is being likened to the battle of former broadcast journalist Jay Sonza versus ABS-CBN.
Jobert filed an illegal dismissal complaint against the radio station of the Kapamilya network. This is following his indefinite suspension after his tirade against Nadine Lustre.
Recalling, Nadine lambaster entertainment columnist Ricky Lo who wrote about her breakup with James Reid. Jobert defended Ricky and scolded Nadine on air and he was bashed because of this.
Jobert chose to issue a public apology in order to appease the fans and the camp of the actress but he was still suspended without pay. The worst thing, it was indefinite.
Because of this, he filed a complaint against DZMM. Based on the article by columnist Ronnie Carrasco in Bandera, they perceive that the radio station will eventually soften on Jobert Sucaldito.
It is because they are reminded of the incident that happened between Jay Sonza and ABS-CBN. According to Carrasco, Sonza worked in the Kapamilya network for 10 years and he won against the TV giant. With this, they are thinking that Jobert has more chance of winning his legal battle because he already spent 20 years of his life in the media company.
Reportedly, Jay Sonza got a big amount of money after he won the case against ABS-CBN. “Who knows, this might just be the same direction kung saan patungo si Jobert most especially given the present state of the network which cannot afford to shame itself?” Carrasco said in his article.
