Customers in Bacolod City fall in line at the supermarkets and grocery stores just to buy necessities in preparation for the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
This, as the Philippines was currently having a battle against the coronavirus disease or COVID-19. As of this writing, Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Lacson and Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia have yet to issue an Executive Order and Implementing Rules and Regulations for the implementation of enhanced community quarantine.
As reported by TV Patrol Negros, through its live stream, residents fall in line at the supermarkets and grocery stores in order to buy foods and necessities that can last for the duration of enhanced community quarantine.
Based on the video, some customers didn’t observe social distancing while falling in line due to a higher heat index, yet others waited for already half an hour just to buy additional stocks.
Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Lacson and Bacolod City Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran appealed to customers not to panic and to stay calm.
