Task Force Against Coronavirus Worry Over Activities of 3 Persons Monitored in Bacolod City

PERSONS MONITORED IN BACOLOD CITY – Three (3) persons under monitoring in Bacolod City allegedly still engage with public.

Several areas in the Philippines got confirmed cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus. Out of the 33 total confirmed cases in the country, most patients are in Metro Manila.

The authorities has to track down the people they had a close contact with for the monitoring of these individuals. They may be referred as patients under investigation (PUIs) or persons under monitoring (PUMs) depending on the assessment of the authorities.

People who have a recent travel history abroad may also be referred as PUMs. Several countries across the globe now got confirmed cases of the disease thus it really requires maximum efforts to combat it.

One of the cities with a PUI and PUMs is Bacolod City in Negros Occidental. A woman from Singapore is considered as a PUI in the city and there are 19 persons under monitoring now.

However, based on a recent report of DZMM TeleRadyo, it seems the task force against coronavirus in the city now is having our hard time with some PUMs. Three (3) persons monitored in Bacolod City allegedly still engage with public.

Supposedly, PUMs have to be undergo a quarantine period or at least observe home isolation to prevent spreading the disease in case they are infected. The symptoms may appear within 14 days.

Based on the report, the said three (3) persons monitored in Bacolod City are from Macau. Two (2) of them are male. The task force has received reports that they are still roaming around the city.

According to Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran, for him, the PUMs must be isolated as their families are also at risk in case they are infected. Currently, there are still no further information over the said PUMs.
