Vanessa Bryant Pays Emotional Tribute for Kobe Bryant
VANESSA BRYANT – The wife of the late NBA legend Kobe Bryant paid an emotional tribute for the basketball player.
January 27, 2020 was a heartbreaking day for countless people across the globe. Many woke up to a sad news – Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash with his daughter Gianna.
Kobe is an NBA legend. He has retired from playing basketball to spend time with his family. Married to Vanessa, they have four beautiful daughters – Natalia, Gianna, Bianca, and Capri.
Kobe and Gianna or more commonly called as Gigi was supposedly off for her basketball event. However, their helicopter crashed in Calabasas, California.
Recently, Vanessa Bryant paid tribute for her late husband, Kobe Bryant. She was emotional as she shared how they are to each other despite of his prominence and titles in the basketball field.
“I could not see him as a celebrity nor just an incredible basketball player. He was my sweet husband and the beautiful father of our children. He was mine, he was my everything,” she said.
Vanessa also recalled that she was 17 years old when she and Kobe got into a relationship. She was his “first girlfriend, his first love, his wife, his best friend, his confidant, and his protector”.
The widow of Kobe expressed that the NBA legend was an amazing husband and he greatly loved her. They were opposite in a lot of things but they balance each other.
According to Vanessa Bryant, Kobe is the romantic one in their relationship. He would usually plan special trips and gifts for their anniversaries. The late NBA legend even prepares handmade gifts for his wife.
Vanessa expressed that she and Kobe really hoped to grow old together like Noah and Allie in The Notebook. He even gifted her a blue dress, the one like Allie’s.
As a father, Vanessa described Kobe as someone who taught their daughters to always be brave. When he retired from the NBA, he was the one who took over dropping and picking up their daughters from school.
According to Vanessa, Kobe is a hands-on father to their children. He loves to watch movies with their eldest Natalia, go to parks with Bianca, and his arms got the power to put Capri to sleep fast. He and Gianna are both into basketball.
In her tribute, Vanessa Bryant expressed that Kobe and Gigi were both very easy to love. She stressed that God knew her husband and daughter could not be on this Earth without each other so He had to take them together.
“Babe, you take care of our Gigi and I got Nani, BB, and Coco. We are still the best team. We love and miss you Boo-Boo and Gigi. May you both rest in peace and have fun in Heaven until we meet again one day. We love you both and miss you, forever and always, Mommy,” Vanessa Bryant said in her tribute.
