PMA Alumni Homecoming ‘Not Open To Media’, Says Spox

The Alumni Homecoming of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) was “not open to media”, according to the academy’s spokesperson.

The Alumni Homecoming of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) was resumed Saturday morning, yet not open to media as well as PMA selected few visitors to enter.

This, as Capt. Cheryl Tindog, the spokesperson of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA), said that it was part of the academy’s protocol or precautionary measures in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

According to Capt. Cheryl Tindog, the academy was “trying to protect the health and welfare of the cadets as well as the general public,” adding that the academy only allowed family and friends of its graduates to enter the vicinity. He added that the academy also limited the number of relatives of PMA cadets to attend the alumni homecoming.

Meanwhile, retired Vice Admiral Eduardo Santos of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) served as the speaker for the said event. Moreover, senators Panfilo Lacson and Ronald Dela Rosa, as well as DICT Secretary Gregorio Honasan, DILG Secretary Eduardo Año, and PNP Chief Archie Gamboa were also present during the alumni homecoming.
