NURSES OF 3RD CORONAVIRUS PATIENT – The nurses who attended to the 60-year-old Chinese national in the Philippines experience fever and colds.

In the Philippines, there are now three (3) confirmed cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus, the disease that initially hit China and place Wuhan City in Hubei Province under a lock-down due to an outbreak.

Thousands of people were infected in Wuhan. The signs of the said diseases are similar to flu which may include fever, cough, and breathing difficulties. Its target is the respiratory system.

In China, the nCoV has left more than 400 people dead. Outside the country, the first coronavirus death case was recorded in the Philippines.

Nurses of 3rd Coronavirus Patient in PH

The first confirmed case of coronavirus in the Philippines is a 38-year-old Chinese woman from Wuhan. Her partner, a 44-year-old Chinese man, became the 2nd confirmed nCoV case.

The Chinese man died – the first nCoV death case outside China. His remains have already been laid to rest as confirmed by the Department of Health (DOH).

The third confirmed coronavirus case in the Philippines is a 60-year-old Chinese national. The foreigner has already left for China after having conflicting results.

The said Chinese national has visited Cebu and Bohol. Previously, it was reported that two (2) nurses of the 3rd coronavirus patient in PH started to experience colds. They’re put under quarantine and isolation.

Recently, an update about the nurses of the 3rd coronavirus case in PH crossed the surface. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, they have fever and colds but they are recovering.

According to Dr. Cesar Lopez of the Technical Working Group for New and Emerging Diseases in Bohol, the fever of the nurses is on and off. Meanwhile, he stressed that their conditions are not worsening.

Based on the report, aside from the two (2) nurses, two (2) foreigners who had a contact with the nCoV patient are also monitored and isolated.

The contact tracing of the 200+ passengers of the fast craft continues. As of this writing, 40 people have already been identified. More updates may be posted soon.
