Coronavirus Patient in Hong Kong Dies Marking 2nd Death Case
HONG KONG – An authority reported the 2nd death case in the country due to the new or novel coronavirus 2019.
Hong Kong is one of the countries that are greatly affected by the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in China. In fact, there were medical staff who went on a strike from work to urge the government to close its barriers.
In China, the novel coronavirus has infected more than 60,000 people. Furthermore, more than 1,000 people died of the said disease in the mainland.
The first death case outside China was recorded in the Philippines. The patient was a 44-year-old Chinese man who came from Wuhan City with his partner, a 38-year-old Chinese woman who was the first coronavirus patient in PH.
The second coronavirus death case outside China was recorded in HK. The patient was a 39-year-old man who has been to Wuhan City, the epicenter of the disease in China.
Recently, Hong Kong recorded its 2nd coronavirus death case. Speaking to CNBC, the spokesperson of the Princess Margaret Hospital expressed that the patient is a 70-year-old man.
As of this writing, no further information regarding the coronavirus death case was given to the public. Based on the report, the hospital’s spokesperson expressed that an afternoon press conference will be held for it.
