Filipinos Repatriated From Japan Cruise Ship ‘Symptom-free’, Says DOH

Filipinos repatriated from Diamond Princess cruise ship “all symptom-free” according to DOH.

The Department of Health on Wednesday said that all Filipinos repatriated from Japan cruise ship has not shown any symptoms of COVID-19.

This, as 411 Filipino crew members and four passengers of the Diamond Princess cruise ship would be quarantined for 14 days at a facility in New Clark City in Tarlac, which was previously used to house athletes in 2019 Southeast Asian Games.

According to Health Assistant Secretary Rosette Vergeire, all Filipinos from Diamond Princess cruise ship were feeling well, except for one who got dizzy and became okay after a while.

Vergeire also said that Filipinos from the said ship could have been exposed or could have interacted with COVID-19-positive cases, adding that the department will repeat the 14-day quarantine to Filipino crew members and passengers for assurance.
