Filipino In South Korea Tests Positive For COVID-19, Says DOH

DOH confirmed that a Filipino patient was tested positive for COVID-19 in South Korea.

The Department of Health (DOH) on Monday confirmed that a Filipino patient was tested positive for the 2019 novel coronavirus, named COVID-19, in South Korea.

This, as Health Assistant Secretary Maria Rosario Vergeire told GMA News’ Unang Balita that the department received information Sunday that there was a Filipino patient who tested positive for COVID-19. Vergeire added that the department didn’t receive full details about the patient.

Health Assistant Secretary Maria Rosario Vergeire also said that there was also one Filipino patient in Singapore, two Filipino patients in the United Arab Emirates, and one Filipino patient in Hong Kong who tested positive for COVID-19.

South Korea already reached over 600 confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of Sunday, February 23.
