Cruise Ship Passengers Leave Vessel, American Woman Later On Detected w/ Coronavirus

AMERICAN TESTS POSITIVE FOR CORONAVIRUS – A woman tested positive for coronavirus after her fellow cruise ship passengers left the vessel in Cambodia.

Previously, a Holland American Line vessel was rejected by five countries including the Philippines over the fear of coronavirus infection. The said disease was first recorded in China but the outbreak has reached several other countries.

To contain the spreading of the disease, several countries implemented travel ban. Most of these travel restrictions set include China wherein Wuhan City is now under a lock-down following more than 60,000 infection cases in their country.

Amid the fight against the spread of the novel coronavirus or COVID-19, the cruise ship carrying around 2,000 people had no place to dock until they arrived in Cambodia. The Cambodian government, for humanitarian grounds, allowed the vessel to dock and its passengers to go and see their beautiful places.

However, unexpectedly, a big problem followed the move of Cambodia to allow the cruise ship to dock and the passengers to leave the vessel.

Based on a report on New York Times, after the passengers have left the cruise ship, an American woman tested positive for the novel coronavirus. She was stopped at the thermal scanners in the airport in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Cambodian government and health officials are now facing a huge problem including the tracking of all the passengers of the cruise ship. Some of the fellow passengers of the American who tested positive for coronavirus visited the places in Cambodia while others head on to other destinations around the world.

As of this writing, there are still no further information regarding the matter. More updates may be posted soon.
