ARNELL IGNACIO and DARRYL YAP – The two react after being included on the list of allegedly fake news peddlers.
Ignacio is a game show host, comedian, actor, news anchor, and singer-songwriter.
He once served as deputy executive director of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).
On the other hand, Yap is considered one of the most popular directors in the country today.
He is behind the hit movies and independent films such as Jowable, Tililing and to name a few.
He’s also one of the staunch supporters of the UniTeam composed of presumptive president Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., and presumptive vice-president Sara Duterte-Carpio.
Arnell Ignacio and director Darryl Yap are among the entertainment personalities included in the list of fake news peddlers released by veteran broadcast journalist and former ABS-CBN News executive Charie Villa.
Charie shared this on her Twitter account on Thursday, June 3, 2022.
“Natawa ako. Si Angeli ang unang nagsabi sa akin. If I’m making my enemies angry, then I must be doing a good job,” Arnell Ignacio said.
“Angeli” is Angeli Pangilinan-Valenciano, wife of Garvy Valenciano, who’s a certified Kakampink. She’s also the sister of Senator Kiko Pangilinan who ran for vice-president in the last national elections.
According to Arnell, he does not rule out the possibility of filing a complaint against Charie.
Darryl, on the other hand, confirmed that he will file a lawsuit against Charie for her allegation that he was spreading fake news.
Aside from Arnell and Darryl, the list of fake news peddlers that Charie released includes both veteran broadcast journalist Jay Sonza and former broadsheet columnist Jojo Robles.
