Here’s the reaction of the daughter of former Sen. Joker Arroyo to the unofficial election results
MAOI ARROYO – The daughter of former Senator Joker Arroyo took to social media wherein she apologized to her father amid the release of the unofficial election results.
Recently, she went to the micro-blogging site, Twitter wherein she posted a photo of her father.
It was accompanied by a two-word caption: “Papa, sorry.”
The photo she shared on social media features a younger version of her father, behind bars during the Martial Law era.
Based on the article of Christine Avendaño which was published via Inquirer on Oct. 8, 2015, Arroyo was once a freedom fighter opposing the government.
Ceferino “Joker” Paz Arroyo Jr. was a statesman and key figure in the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution which ousted dictator Ferdinand Marcos. He was a Congressman for Makati from 1992 to 2001 and Senator from 2001 to 2013.
Her short tweet is currently making rounds online and has garnered over 105k reactions.
Meanwhile, presidential frontrunner Bongbong Marcos is still leading the race with 30,949,373 votes.
For vice president, Sara Duterte leads with 31,383,834 votes.
On the other hand, among those leading in the senatorial race are the following; Robin Padilla with 26,297,617 votes, Loren Legarda with 23,873,261 votes, Raffy Tulfo with 23,063,641 votes, Win Gatchalian with 20,285,471 votes, Chiz Escudero with 19,958,034 votes, Mark Villar with 19,109,147 votes, Alan Peter Cayetano with 18,996,112 votes, Migz Zubiri with 18,490,862 votes, Joel Villanueva with 18,224,605 votes, JV Ejercito with 15,620,594 votes, Risa Hontiveros with 15,205,544 votes and Jinggoy Estrada with 14,902,356 votes.
