Philippines’ Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 Tops Records of Countries in Southeast Asia

PHILIPPINES – The country is now the nation with the most number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the whole Southeast Asia.

Several countries across the globe are fighting a common enemy now – the coronavirus or COVID-19. The said disease has already claimed over 100,000 lives worldwide.

The 2019 coronavirus was first recorded in China. It bears flu-like symptoms which may include breathing difficulties, fever, and dry cough. The patient may also exhibit diarrhea and colds.

In China, over 81,000 were infected by coronavirus. The death toll in the Chinese community has reached over 3,300.

In the Southeast Asia region, one of the countries with confirmed cases of COVID-19 is the Philippines. In fact, it is now the nation with the most number of coronavirus cases in the region.

Based on a report on Esquire, Philippines took Malaysia’s unwanted spot after it recorded 284 new cases in April 13 bringing the total to 4,932. Malaysia got a total of 4,817 confirmed cases of coronavirus.
