Here’s the latest update about the security guard vs the son of Cong. Teves incident
KURT MATTHEW TEVES – The son of Congressman Arnolfo Teves Jr. who beat up a security guard in BF Homes last March 16 is facing complaints filed by Las Piñas PNP.
Las Piñas police chief Lt. Col. Jaime Santos confirmed via text message that they filed a complaint against the young Teves at the Office of the City Prosecutor on Wednesday, March 30.
According to Santos, among the charges that the former Negros Oriental ex-officio member are the following; physical injuries, grave threat, and violation of the omnibus election code.
In a viral video, Teves can be seen mauling the security guard identified as Jomar Pajares- who claimed that Kurt Teves challenged him for a shootout.
Meanwhile, the BFFHAI or BF Federation will coordinate with the authorities.
The BF Federation earlier planned to directly file a complaint against Teves before the fiscal.
In a previous interview, BFFHAI legal committee chair Atty. Delfin Supapo said that right after the incident they assist Pajares to come up with what charges they are going to file against the former Negros Oriental Provincial Board member.
A week later, the lawyer said that they are ready to file a complaint but it did not pursue because Pajares stop coordinating with him and members of BFFHAI.
At a press conference in Dumaguete City last March 23, Teves apologized and stressed that he’s ready to face the consequences of his actions as well as the court’s decision.
