Billy Crawford is supporting the presidential bid of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno
BILLY CRAWFORD — The television host is supporting the presidential bid of Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso.
Billy declared his support for the Manila mayor, who is running for president in the 2022 elections, through his Instagram video released on Tuesday, March 29.
The TV host brought up the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic as a factor in choosing a leader who will continue the country’s recovery from its lasting impacts.
“Alam niyo po, ilang buwan na lang eleksyon na. And I realized how crucial this election is because unti-unti na tayong bumabangon sa pandemic. At hindi magiging madali ang trabaho ng susunod na mga officials na iboboto natin. They’ll decide how we will rise above this challenge,” Billy said.
Billy then described the ideal qualities of a president — a leader who can face any trial, a leader who can meet the needs of the poor, a leader who values education, and a leader who can fight for the Filipino people.
According to him, Mayor Isko fits those criteria.

“Kaya ako, sa darating na Mayo masasabi ko, Isko ako,” Billy said.
Mayor Isko and Billy have long considered each other “brothers”, in light of their shared history of being “That’s Entertainment” talents, with a common mentor in the late show business icon German “Kuya Germs” Moreno.
Other celebrities who have directly expressed support for Mayor Isko’s presidential bid include Mocha Uson, who is running as Mocha (Mothers for Change) Party-list nominee; and singer-songwriter Quest, who composed one of Mayor Isko’s campaign jingles.
Mocha Uson compared Mayor Isko to “young Duterte” in terms of his passion for service to the Philippines during her speech on a campaign trail in Cavite.
