Vice Pres. Leni Robredo’s Daughter Aika Robredo Speaks on Relationship of Parents
AIKA ROBREDO – The eldest daughter of Vice Pres. Leni Robredo revealed one great lesson that her mother got from her father’s death.
Currently, campaign rallies, debates, and interviews of the presidential candidates for the May 2022 Election are happening in different areas and platforms. The presidential bets are on a double-time to visit and reach as many Filipinos as they can before the campaign period is over.
With regards to debate events, many candidates take it as an opportunity to lay their plans and visions for the country, answer issues, and give their stand on key issues. Many of them also grace invitations for interviews.
Previously, they were interviewed by veteran talk show host Boy Abunda. After it, he interviewed the family of the presidential bets to give the public a glimpse of who they are at home and in the lense of their loved ones.
Two (2) of the daughters of Vice Pres. Leni Robredo graced the interview with Boy Abunda. Aika Robredo and Dr. Tricia Robredo spoke about the presidential bid of their mother, her relationship with their late father, and her response to the issues amid the intense election fever.
Vice Pres. Robredo has three (3) daughters with her late husband, former Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jesse Robredo. Their youngest daughter, Jillian, is currently studying as a scholar in New York.
Former Interior Sec. Jesse Robredo died in a plane crash in 2012. His wife was left to take care and raise their three (3) daughters. Their eldest daughter became her co-parent.
During the interview with Boy Abunda, Aika Robredo revealed one of the great lessons that Vice Pres. Leni Robredo got from the death of her late husband is to never sleep with anger towards your partner.
“One of her [Vice Pres. Robredo] greatest lessons, I think after namatay si Papa, parang sinasabi niya ‘Don’t sleep angry kasi you don’t know what tomorrow will bring or if the object of your anger is still there,” Aika said.
Dr. Tricia Robredo said that the Vice President never wants to sleep angry. her daughters are also following it and they learn to just let the little issues pass. Here’s the interview posted on YouTube:
