It was on February 28 when the 2022 Global Trends Business Leaders Awards night was held.

These past few weeks, Toni became the talk of the town as to how she was allegedly able to get an award.

In a Facebook post, Jinky Cubillan Anderson also known as Madam Kilay claimed that the reason why she did not receive any award with her products and as an influencer was because she denied paying for it just to receive as such.

Aside from her Facebook post, she went on Facebook live wherein she said those who receive the awards were “nagpabudol.”

But a statement released by the Global Trends Business Leaders Awards, the award-giving body said that they chose the nominees and the winners through the qualifications as per the award.

Meanwhile, Toni Fowler took to the video-sharing site, TikTok wherein she expressed her side.

According to her, she was hurt by the insinuation because she did not pay just to receive her award.

“Pero alam niyo kung ano ‘yung real talk kung bakit hindi talaga ako nasaktan? Bakit hindi apektado si Mommy Oni? Kasi ‘di ako nagbayad dun. Wala akong nilabas dun,” she said.

She added that the only thing she paid for at the said event is their “per plate” food which she and other members of the Toro family consume at the time.

Among the awards, Toni Fowler received are the following; Outstanding Social Media Influencer, Iconic Content Creator, and Star of the Night as well as the Phenomenal Family of Social Media Stars in the Philippines award with the Toro family.
