Star Magic Ball is returning this year to mark Star Magic’s 30th anniversary.
STAR MAGIC BALL — On Wednesday, Star Magic announced during the “Kapamilya Strong” contract-signing program that the charity ball is lined up for the year-long celebration.
The charity ball, along with other live events and new content, is returning this 2022 to mark Star Magic’s 30th anniversary.
The “Kapamilya Strong” contract-signing program, which saw 11 artists signing or renewing their respective contracts with the Kapamilya network, also served to officially kick off Star Magic’s anniversary festivities.
During a media conference after the contract signing, Star Magic Head Lauren Dyogi thanked the men and women who started Star Magic — Freddie M. Garcia, Johnny Manahan, and Mariole Alberto — for laying the foundation and for building Star Magic.

Dyogi, who is also ABS-CBN’s Head of TV Production, was appointed to lead ABS-CBN’s talent agency during twin crises that beset the Kapamilya network: the COVID-19 pandemic, compounded by the denial of its franchise renewal.
He also expressed confidence in the growth of the agency and its talents, both new and long-time.
“Paahon na kami,” Dyogi said. “This time, we’re venturing into a new era of Star Magic in the 30 more years to come. This is officially the start of the 30th year.”

Aside from the Star Magic Ball, the “All-Star Games” sports fest is scheduled to return as well.
The announcement during the “Kapamilya Strong” contract-signing program came after the Philippines returned to low-risk classification for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in mid-February.
