Gary Valenciano, Regine Velasquez, and 9 Star Magic artists signed or renewed their contract With ABS-CBN.
KAPAMILYA STRONG — Music icons Gary Valenciano and Regine Velasquez, as well as 9 Star Magic artists, signed or renewed their contract With ABS-CBN.
In a “celebration of commitment” last Wednesday, 11 artists signed or renewed their contract with the Kapamilya network at a grand event that saw emotional moments and featured musical performances.
Dubbed “Kapamilya Strong,” the said event also kicked off the yearlong celebration of Star Magic’s 30th anniversary. 9 of 11 artists who signed were homegrown talents of Star Magic.
ABS-CBN executives, led by Chairman Mark Lopez and President Carlo Katigbak, were present to sign the contracts. Joining them were Chief Operating Officer Cory Vidanes, Head of Finance Rick Tan, and Head of TV Production and Head of Star Magic Lauren Dyogi.

Ahead of the individual contract signing of the artists, Vidanes, on behalf of the ABS-CBN management, expressed gratitude to those artists for staying on despite the twin crises that beset the network: the COVID-19 pandemic compounded by the denial of its franchise renewal.
“Thank you for trusting ABS-CBN and Star Magic. Thank you for standing with us to continue serving the Filipino,” Vidanes said. “Thank you for the love that you have nurtured with all our Kapamilyas and with all the audience through the years. Maraming, maraming salamat po.”

Music icons Gary Valenciano and Regine Velasquez — the two non-Star Magic artists who signed the contract last Wednesday — were introduced with special numbers from Jed Madela and Lara Maigue, respectively, who sang their memorable tunes.
The ABS-CBN executive described both Regine and Gary, who have been vocal for their support for the Kapamilya network amidst its challenges the past 2 years, as “Godsend”.
Both Regine and Gary will remain regular performers of “ASAP Natin ‘To,” on top of their respective concert tours this 2022. Regine is also currently seen as a guest co-host of “Magandang Buhay.”

Meanwhile, 9 Star Magic talents took part in the official kick-off of Star Magic’s anniversary celebration as they each signed their contract.
Pop culture icon Jolina Magdangal; leading men Zanjoe Marudo, Sam Milby, Gerald Anderson, and Jake Cuenca; leading ladies Erich Gonzales and Shaina Magdayao; and screen partners Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte were all given “Kapamilya Strong” reception by the ABS-CBN management.
Teasing a year-long lineup of activities, including the return of the All-Star Games and the Star Magic Ball, Vidanes dedicated the anniversary celebration to “all our founders, mentors, partners, advertisers, co-managers, and to our audience and fans” who continued to support and love Star Magic artists.
“Para sa inyo po ito mga Kapamilya, dahil never ninyo kaming iniwan. Ibinabalik po namin sa inyo ang pagmamahal na pinaramdam niyo sa lahat ng aming Star Magic artists,” Vidanes said.
