Manila Mayor Isko Moreno said this statement to Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin amid her charitable endeavors due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Angel is one of the celebrities in the Philippines who showed support to frontliners who have been risking their lives amid the health crisis and to those who are affected by the community quarantine.
The Kapamilya actress, together with fiance film producer Neil Arce, with their #UniTENTweStandPH fundraising campaign, provided two isolation tents. In line with this, Yorme Isko expressed gratitude to Angel through his humorous remark, based on the article from Philippine Entertainment Portal.
The isolation tents were placed at Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center in Tondo. Through this, congestion of patients in the hospital may be prevented.
This project of Angel, who is known for her charitable endeavors in whatever calamity or crisis in the country. Based on the article, this fundraising campaign of the actress aims to provide two isolation tents to every beneficiary hospital.
Each tent has a measurement of 12×24 meter that can cater to persons under investigation (PUI) and persons under monitoring (PUM), as well as confirmed COVID-19 patients.
In one of the recent updates that Angel Locsin shared on her Instagram account, it was stated that they already provided isolation tents to 11 hospitals, including the one in Tondo.
Mayor Isko Moreno is definitely happy for being one of the cities that received help from the Kapamilya star. he expressed his gratitude to Angel and Neil and apprecitaion to what they did. “Siya po ay isang artista, at kilala po ninyo at kilala nating lahat si Angel Locsin, and Neil Arce. Nagbigay po sila ng dalawang big tent for Gat Andres Bonifacio Hospital. Maraming salamat sa iyo, Angel Locsin. At patuloy ka sanang magtagumpay sa iyong karera,” Yorme said.
With all the seriousness in his face, the Mayor said with a jest, “Mabasa ka sana ng ulan nang dumami ka pa.”
