COVID-free? Korina Sanchez draws flak over her now-deleted post
KORINA SANCHEZ – The veteran broadcast journalist drew flak online following her post on Instagram earlier about being COVID-free.
It was just recently when Korina posted a photo of herself.
Her post was accompanied by the caption: “IMAGINE. Lahat nagka covid na. Ako never pa. And Im ALL OVER. Thank you, Lord. Sadya akong pinagpala kase dami ko tinutulungan?”
Unfortunately, her post generated negative reactions with some calling it “off” and “insensitive” since COVID-19 cases surge anew in the country.
Among those who reacted to her caption is former Survivor Philippines castaway Kiko Rustia.
In a comment on a Twitter post, he noted: “Wala sa lugar yung post nya, lalo na yung pag flex nya ng photo nyang yan plus that original caption. Sobrang off.”
Eventually, Korina Sanchez deleted the said post.
But earlier, she went to Instagram anew wherein she posted a photo of herself taken at a beach somewhere.
It was captioned: “Thank you Lord. So many sick and infected. Ive never been positive—- even as Im all over for work I have to do. Frontliner pa ako ngayon sa househelp and driver ko. Help me help others through this pandemic. Kaya natin ito.”
In the comments section, some netizens said they’re glad Korina deleted her earlier post.
To which she responded: “Miscalculation of words in caption. This is what I meant.”
