Kris Aquino Confirms Breakup w/ Mel Sarmiento in Social Media Post
MEL SARMIENTO – Actress Kris Aquino shared on social media the last text message of the former Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary to her.
The breakup of actress Kris Aquino and her ex-fiance, Mel Sarmiento, took social media by storm. The speculations that they have probably ended their relationship first crossed the surface after netizens noticed that the actress has seemingly deleted all her posts mentioning the former Interior Secretary.
Mel is the final Interior Secretary under late former President Noynoy Aquino‘s term. According to the actress, there were several times during her late brother’s term as president when she, PNoy, and Mel would share a table but the then-Interior Secretary would rarely speak to her.
It was just a few months ago when Kris Aquino confirmed that she and Mel Sarmiento are a couple. Her youngest son, Bimby, is also vocal that he can really see the love that her mother and her “Tito Mel” have for each other. They were set for a wedding.
However, recently, Kris Aquino confirmed that she and Mel Sarmiento have broken up. Many were saddened by the post of the actress confirming their split. She also shared on Instagram the last text message of the former Interior Secretary to her.
It is no secret to the public that Kris is not in her best health. She was diagnosed with an auto-immune disease and she previously had trips abroad for treatment.
In the last text message of former Interior Sec. Mel Sarmiento to Kris Aquino, he stressed that he was not able to go to her as he was worried that he might be a carrier of the COVID-19 virus to her because he has gone to the mall and to the barber shop in the days prior to it. According to him, he remembered what the doctor cousin of the actress said that she must not be infected with the virus because of her low immune system and he does not want to be blamed in case.
