Here’s the reaction of Partido Reporma on BBM-SARA caravan
PARTIDO REPORMA – The political party of the presidential aspirant and Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson slammed the caravan of Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte.
It was on Wednesday when the former senator and Davao City Mayor held a “Uniteam Caravan” in Quezon City.
The event drew thousands of BBM-SARA supporters which resulted in traffic congestion along Congressional and Quezon Avenues.
The caravan started past 8 a.m. and finished around 1 p.m. at Welcome Rotonda.
But Lacson’s Partido Reporma seemed to be unhappy with regard to the said event.
Arnel Ty, the party treasurer slammed the caravan after it push through despite possible violations of Comelec rules and the threat of the newest COVID-19 variant.
“Partido Reporma laments that in the time of pandemic, there are politicians who still subscribe to that kind of politics where common decency and basic social conventions are being swept under the rug for political expediency,” Ty said.
Meanwhile, the camp of Marcos Jr. has already issued an apology following the traffic congestion because of the caravan.
The BBM-SARA caravan was organized by Anakalusugan party-list representative and Quezon City mayoral candidate Mike Defensor and his running mate Winnie Castelo.
The former senator and the presidential daughter are gearing up for the two highest positions in the government this coming May 9, 2022 elections.
They will go against the tandem of; Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
