651 People Died in Italy Due To COVID-19 in Just 24 Hours
ITALY – The authorities recorded 651 new deaths in the country in just 24 hours due to COVID-19.
Sadly, a lot of countries were badly hit by the 2019 coronavirus or the COVID-19. The said disease is pandemic as declared by the World Health Organization (WHO). Its impact was far beyond what was expected.
The COVID-19 was first recorded in Wuhan City in the province of Hubei in China. Over 80,000 people were infected by the said disease in Mainland China.
Another country that was greatly hit by the 2019 coronavirus is Italy. In fact, the nation has surpassed China with regards to the COVID-19 death toll.
The Italian authorities have recorded a total of 5,476 deaths in the country due to COVID-19. The death toll in China is at 3,261.
Unfortunately, for several days now, the daily coronavirus death toll recorded by the Italian authorities are in hundreds. Its healthcare system is already shaking.
Over 2,600 medical staff were infected by COVID-19 and some hospitals were already overloaded. Recently, a huge new death records crossed the surface.
Based on Al Jazeera, in just 24 hours, Italy recorded 651 deaths due to COVID-19. It was quite lower than the previous daily record of 793 deaths – the country and the world’s highest daily death toll due to coronavirus.
