Chairman of NBC News Speaks on COVID-Positive Employee Who Died
NBC NEWS – The chairman of the American news program confirmed that one of their employees died after testing positive for COVID-19.
Currently, the world is on a huge fight as the coronavirus or COVID-19 takes several lives in the different countries and put thousands at risk. Globally, the said disease that was first recorded in China infected over 270,000 people.
The coronavirus death toll across the globe is over 11,000 and there are nearly 91,000 who recovered from the disease. The Philippines, the United States, Italy, Hong Kong, and South Korea are among the countries affected by the disease.
Members of several huge entities from different fields were infected by the disease. One of these people is an employee of a giant news program in the United States.
Based on a report on CNN, the chairman of NBC News, Andrew Lack, recently confirmed that one of their employees died. The said man identified as Larry Edgeworth tested positive for COVID-19.
According to Lack, Edgeworth died of complications as a result of his coronavirus infection. Based on the report, he was working at the equipment room.
Prior to being a staff in the equipment room, Edgeworth worked as an audio technician in the news program according to Lack. He has worked in NBC for 25 years.
“Many of you were fortunate enough to work with Larry over the years, so you know that he was the guy you wanted by your side no matter where you were,” the NBC Chairman said based on the report.
Lack stressed that the past few weeks was challenging. “And we know there will be more challenges and uncertainty ahead,” he added.
