Home Quarantine Advised to 103 Central Visayas Policemen
CENTRAL VISAYAS POLICEMEN – According to the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas, 103 of their men are under a home quarantine now.
The Philippines is one of the countries hit by the 2019 novel coronavirus or COVID-19. Unfortunately, for more than a week now, there is an upward momentum on the confirmed cases of the disease in the country.
Currently, there is a total of 217 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Philippines. According to the Department of Health (DOH), seventeen (17) died and eight (8) patients have already recovered.
Amid the coronavirus crisis, everyone is encouraged to keep track of their health. Staying at home is really advised.
Among those who are now under a home quarantine are 103 western Visayas policemen. Based on a report on Cebu Daily News, they are considered as persons under monitoring or PUMs.
Their being PUMs was confirmed by Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7). According to Regional Health Services (RHS) Director Police Colonel Relie David Canlas, the said cops got influenza-like illnesses.
Based on the report, the policemen were immediately advised to undergo a home quarantine. Meanwhile, the RHS Director expressed that none of them tested positive for COVID-19.
