Robredo will run independently alongside her vice-presidential running-mate Senator Kiko Pangilinan.

The congresswoman-turned-vice president will go against the presidential aspirants; Senator Manny Pacquiao, Manila Mayor, Senator Ping Lacson, and former Senator Bongbong Marcos. An immense battle between the presidential bets is expected in the coming days/months.

Following the candidacy of Leni Robredo, a lot of celebrities expressed their support to the opposition standard-bearer.

But actress Ella Cruz chose to distance herself from Robredo. She stressed that her family was the first to choose the color pink as their campaign color since her father will run independently in the coming elections.

Meanwhile, in the recent press conference of VP Leni and her vice presidential running mate Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, she explained the reason behind why they chose the color pink.
