Malacañang asked the public for patience over the ongoing unified vaccination card project.
UNIFIED VACCINATION CARD PROJECT — Malacañang asked the public for patience as the national government was building up the masterlist of Filipinos who already completed their COVID-19 vaccination amidst reports of persons getting “booster shots” or multiple doses in different cities.
On Monday, Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said in his regular press briefing that the DICT (Department of Information and Communications Technology) was already consolidating data of persons vaccinated from different LGUs (local government units) for the issuance of a unified vaccination certificate or card.
According to Roque, those who were complaining that they needed a certificate of vaccination from a government agency, that’s where the DICT list will enter. Currently, Roque said that the program was there and the data of persons vaccinated from LGUs were just being transferred.
Roque also stressed that the national government didn’t tolerate those who were hopping from one LGU to another in order to receive additional doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
Moreover, Roque said that they didn’t tolerate that because many people have yet to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and all vaccines provided protection. He then urged the public to wait for the rest to be vaccinated before getting booster shots.

Roque’s statement came after two individuals in Quezon City were charged for getting a third COVID-19 vaccine dose despite already being fully vaccinated against the coronavirus disease.
He floated the possibility of giving seafarers and overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) an exemption from getting booster shots, but advised them to instead request for the vaccine brand their employers required in order to give way to others who have yet to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
