RUFFA – The actress clarified that her father Eddie Gutierrez does not have cancer.

She stressed in her respective posts on Twitter and Instagram that her dad is cleared of cancer.

She made the statement in response to reports published in newspapers that her dad, veteran actor Eddie Gutierrez was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

According to her, her departure for the US was tough. She noted that she experienced a tornado of emotions but she chose to keep it in private.

Then, Ruffa Gutierrez said that her father underwent an operation and fortunately, it was successful.

She stressed that her dad was clear of prostate cancer.

Prostate cancer is a form of cancer that begins in the gland cells of the prostate, which is found only in males.

Ruffa cited that she and her mom Annabelle Rama were hurt over fake news about Eddie.

Jun Lalin, the publicist of family Gutierrez, who’s right now in the US alongside Ruffa and the latter’s brother Raymond, also said in an interview via PEP.ph that Eddie is free of the dreaded disease.

The Gutierrez family is thankful for those who expressed concern and offer prayers for the veteran actor.

At present, he is on the road to full recovery thanks to the doctors and nurses at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City.

Meanwhile, Eddie Gutierrez has been in the industry for more than six (6) decades.

Throughout his acting career, he has starred in numerous films and teleserye on television.

His last appearance on TV was via defunct ABS-CBN series, Make it With You starring Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil or popularly known as LizQuen.

On the other hand, his last appearance on the big screen was the biopic, Felix Manalo, who is said to be the founder of Iglesia Ni Cristo.
