Trillanes on the passing of Magdalo brother: “I am holding the duterte admin responsible for his death…”
Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV blamed the Duterte administration following the death of his Magdalo brother who was succumbed to COVID-19.
According to him, President Rodrigo Duterte is accountable for the passing of his fellow Magdalo due to his failed response to the health crisis.
“We lost a Dugong Magdalo brother yesterday because of COVID,” he tweeted.
“I am holding the duterte admin responsible for his death and other COVID deaths for gross incompetence/corruption,” he added.
He said that the current administration has failed on the part of purchasing enough equipment and vaccines against the dreaded virus.
In addition, he said the workforce of frontliners is also lacking in this pandemic.
His post eventually earned reactions from the netizens.
Meanwhile, Antonio Fuentes Trillanes IV is a retired Philippine Navy officer who served as a senator of the Philippines from 2007 to 2019.
He is known for his involvement in the Oakwood mutiny in 2003 and the Manila Peninsula siege in 2007 in protest against the Arroyo administration.
He ran for vice president in the 2016 national elections but lost to then Camarines Sur representative Leni Robredo.
Trillanes is also an avid critic of the Duterte administration.
His most recent claim against President Rodrigo Duterte is the alleged corruption involving Senator Christopher “Bong” Go.
He accused the two of plunder in connection with the awarding of a contract worth P6.6 billion to a construction company owned by Go’s father.
Trillanes said it is clear from the document from the Commission on Audit that Duterte gave Go’s family 184 projects worth P6.6 billion.
In February 2020, Trillanes launched his vlog TRx: Trillanes Explains, where he discusses pressing issues and releases exposés coursed through his social media accounts.
