Anakalusugan party-list Representative Mike Defensor confirmed that he tested positive for COVID-19.
According to him, he tested positive for the disease on March 3 and immediately took the RT-PCR test.
“Mga two weeks na ‘to, nag-positive ako sa COVID along with seven people in my house including my son-in-law,” Mike Defensor said.
Mike Defensor believes that he is asymptomatic and is thankful that the symptoms of COVID-19 were not severe as well as that of his son-in-law who was also infected with the virus.
“Masuwerte naman kami kasi yung variant na nakuha namin hindi siya talaga nagka-cause ng severe COVID,” he said.
Mike Defensor is scheduled to undergo another RT-PCR test to confirm that he is negative for the virus.
Meanwhile, with the rapid increase of coronavirus disease 2019 cases, leaders of different nations are doing their all in order to combat the spread of the deadly virus which started in Wuhan, China in 2019.
COVID-19 is characterized by flu-like symptoms such as fever, difficulty in breathing, cough, and other respiratory problems but a patient may also be positive for the disease even without showing any signs.
Among the safety protocols that everyone must observe are the following; social/physical distancing, wearing masks especially in public places, and using disinfectant from time to time if possible.
