Actor Janus del Prado decided to leave Star Magic after more than two decades.
Actor Janus del Prado recently took to social media as he decided to leave Star Magic after more than two decades.
Janus had decided to leave ABS-CBN’s talent management arm Star Magic after 21 years as its contract artist.
He announced in his Instagram post last February 19 that he had decided not to renew his contract with Star Magic — which was set to end next month — to go freelance.
According to him, his management contract with Star Magic may end but not his support and love for the whole Star Magic family, adding that he would always and forever be grateful.
“Thank you Star Magic (Talent Center) for making me a part of your family for more than 2 decades (21 years). From when I was just 15, training to be one of your talents in Star Circle Batch 9 (which I am) to ‘Gmik,’ ‘Qpids,’ etc., to now that I’m 36 years old doing tito roles. Next month, my management contract with you may end but not my support and love for the whole Star Magic family. I will always and forever be grateful. It has been one hell of a ride. Till we meet again,” Janus said.

Janus started his career in showbiz in 2000 as one of the Batch 9 members of “Star Circle” along with Rafael Rosell, Heart Evangelista, Coco Martin, and Alwyn Uytingco.
He was best known for his role in Star Cinema’s film, “One More Chance”, which starred John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo.
Among other movies he appeared in were “Can’t Help Falling In Love”, “Second Chance”, and “She’s Dating the Gangster”. Also, Janus was part of ABS-CBN’s television drama series “Lobo”, “A Beautiful Affair”, “The Legal Wife”, and “Starla”.
