Jay Sonza to Vilma Santos: “What renewal are talking about?”
Ex-broadcaster Jay Sonza took to the social networking site, Facebook wherein he slammed Batangas Congresswoman Vilma Santos-Recto for filing a bill that seeks to renew the franchise of ABS-CBN.
According to Jay Sonza, the Kapamilya Network does not need renewal because it doesn’t have an existing franchise.
“Cong. Vilma Santos, what renewal are talking about? There is nothing to renew because the network has no live or existing franchise to begin with,” Jay Sonza said.
“Ang dami nang bobo sa Kongreso, huwag mo ng idagdag ang sarili mo sa bilang nila. Tapatin mo ang bayan, Ate Vi, Huwag na tayong magbolahan pa, magkano ba talaga ang dahilan?” he added.
Vilma Santos-Recto recently filed House Bill 8298 which seeks to renew the franchise of the broadcast giant by granting it a fresh 25-year franchise.
In an interview, she said: “Yes, I will (file the bill). It’s the right thing to do.” She added, “I’m hoping for the best.”
It was in July last year when the Kapamilya Network shut down after it failed to renew its franchise.
This prompted the network to stop airing its shows on television and radio.

Mr. Sonza is right, “magkano ang dahilan”
Siya ang Bogo (Jay Sonza) Dunay “expired” license ang network. Dili “walay” license. I don’t know kung nigraduate ba syag college.
I’m sure naa ni sya car ug driver’s license. Kung wa nimo marehistro sa saktong petsa or before expiry date sa imong renewal sa OR sa sakyanan o ba kaha ang imong driver’s license mutapos na ang validaty, pasabot ba ana wala kay rehistradong sakyanan o naghupot kag walay lisensya nga nagpadagan ka sa kalsada? Idiot ka dong. Sama ra na og doktor, engineer, teacher, nurse, ug uban pa, pasabot ba ana kung dle nila ma renew ang lisensya dle na sila professional?
