Celeste Cortesi Welcomes Baby Boy Sergio After 20-Hour Labor

Celeste Cortesi and Ex Jonathan Sterling Welcome Son Sergio: ‘So Precious, Baby S’

CELESTE CORTESI – Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi has welcomed her first child, a baby boy named Sergio, after more than 20 hours of labor, with birth announcements circulating on Tuesday, October 27, and Wednesday, October 28, 2026.

“So precious, baby S,” Cortesi wrote as she shared a first glimpse of her newborn. The beauty queen had earlier said she planned to name her son Sergio in honor of her late father.

Her former partner, British businessman Jonathan Sterling, who stayed with her through the delivery, posted his own message of pride. “Staying with her through more than 20 hours of labor showed me just how strong of a woman she is,” Sterling wrote. “So, so happy to welcome baby S into the world.”

Weeks before giving birth, Cortesi had opened up about how hard pregnancy was on her mental and emotional health. “Pregnancy has been one of the most challenging and humbling experiences I had to go through emotionally and mentally,” she said, describing days of sadness, anxiety and loneliness as hormones and isolation took a toll.

Even then, she said carrying her son also carried her. “Baby S has been growing inside me while, in so many ways, I have been growing too. Nine months of carrying you, and somehow you carried me too,” she wrote, adding that she looked forward to meeting a stronger version of herself as a mother.

Cortesi announced the pregnancy in April 2026. In September, she and Sterling confirmed on her docuseries Celeste Unscripted that they had separated while she was pregnant, stressing that their child remained the priority.

For Cortesi, the name Sergio closes a personal circle: a tribute to the father she lost, now carried forward by the son she fought through a long labor to meet. Sterling’s posts framed the moment less as spectacle and more as respect for the woman who endured the hours in the delivery room.

Friends and fans flooded social media with congratulations as photos of the newborn in a pale blue cap made the rounds—an early look at the newest member of what Sterling playfully tagged as their “dynasty.”
