Lotlot de Leon Speaks Out on Alleged Dispute With Brother Ian
The camp of Lotlot de Leon has finally addressed the controversy involving her brother Ian de Leon following their separate commemorations for their late mother, Nora Aunor.
On April 16, 2026, the siblings marked the first death anniversary of the iconic actress through two different memorial masses held at separate locations. Ian organized a ceremony at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig, while Lotlot, along with her siblings Matet and Kenneth, held a separate mass in Quezon City. The split events immediately drew public attention and raised questions about possible tensions within the family.
The issue became more apparent after Lotlot’s legal counsel released an official statement clarifying her position regarding a One Person Corporation (OPC) reportedly established by Ian. This corporation was said to include the Nora Aunor Foundation and a related enterprise meant to honor their mother’s legacy. However, Lotlot’s camp firmly stated that she was never consulted, involved, or informed about the creation of this organization. They also expressed concern that public statements suggesting her participation were inaccurate and misleading.

According to her camp, Lotlot had already stepped back from matters related to their mother’s estate after Ian decided to take full responsibility for its legal management. They emphasized that she is not seeking any inheritance or financial benefit and has chosen to remain independent from these developments. It was also pointed out that, to their knowledge, there is no legal document naming Ian as the sole authority over the estate.

The statement further revealed that communication between Lotlot and Ian has since stopped. Her previous silence was meant to show respect for their mother and to avoid further conflict, but it was misunderstood by some. Now, her camp clarified that she will not allow her name to be linked to matters she has no involvement in. Despite the issue, they urged the public to focus on honoring Nora Aunor’s legacy with respect and unity.
