Kiko Barzaga: ”Pinakulong ako ni Marcos”
KIKO BARZAGA – The suspended Cavite representative has called for the removal of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., publicly accusing him of being behind his recent legal troubles and arrest.
In a social media post, Barzaga claimed that he was imprisoned due to the President and alleged corruption in government projects, particularly in flood control programs, as well as rising fuel prices. He strongly expressed that the President should be removed from office, framing his statements as part of his ongoing political fight.
Barzaga recently surrendered to authorities after a warrant of arrest was issued against him in connection with cyberlibel charges. He was taken into custody on Monday evening but was later released after posting bail at around 10:25 p.m. The arrest warrant was issued by Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 147.

The case stems from complaints filed by businessman Enrique Razon, along with Deputy Speaker Ronaldo Puno and Manila Representative Rolando Valeriano. The complaints were based on a Facebook post made by Barzaga in January 2025, in which he accused certain members of Congress of allegedly receiving bribes from Razon during gatherings at a private venue prior to the 2025 elections. He also claimed that these supposed payments were linked to political support for House leadership.
Razon denied the accusations and argued that Barzaga’s statements do not fall under protected free speech, stating that the claims were false and damaging to his reputation. The other complainants supported the case, saying the online post contained serious allegations that were not backed by evidence.

Despite facing legal action, Barzaga has continued to stand by his statements and maintain his accusations through public posts. The situation has sparked political discussion online, with supporters and critics debating issues of accountability, free speech, and responsibility in the use of social media by public officials.
