Michelle O’Bombshell Passes Away at 48
MICHELLE O’BOMBSHELL – The well-loved gay impersonator and stand-up comedian whose real name was Roderic “Ador” Cuntapay, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026, at the age of 48.
Close friends and fellow entertainers confirmed the news, although the cause of death has not yet been disclosed. Michelle was widely recognized for his humorous and heartfelt impersonations of former US First Lady Michelle Obama and for consistently bringing joy to audiences with his wit and stage presence.
Many colleagues paid tribute to Michelle on social media, highlighting his kindness, mentorship, and influence on their careers. Singer-comedienne Tuesday Vargas recalled their friendship from their student days at the University of the Philippines, where Michelle first placed his trust in her as a young member of the Samahan ng mga Mag-aaral sa Komunikasyon. She described him as her first mentor and director, praising his support, humor, and dedication to spreading joy even in challenging times.

Other friends and performers, including John Lapus, Boobay, Andrew de Real, Atak Araña, Pepita Curtis, Osang Soliven, Joel Olivera, AJ Tamiza, Mariko Ledesma, Alexa Dionesa, and Robert Canon, also shared heartfelt messages, recalling Michelle’s quick wit, talent, and generosity toward younger artists.
Michelle’s career spanned television, film, and online shows.
