Lance Carr Explains Viral Pageant Video
LANCE CARR – The actor found himself at the center of a viral moment during the Miss City of San Fernando coronation in La Union, when a video of his performance circulated online.
Singing the 1997 hit song Harana by Parokya ni Edgar, Lance approached one of the candidates, Kharish Tobesa, at a moment when the lyrics included the line “Sino ba ‘tong mukhang gago?” Many viewers interpreted it as a jab at the contestant, which sparked online jokes and rapid sharing.
Lance clarified that the moment was not intentional and that the lyrics were actually referring to himself. The timing simply coincided with the candidates walking down the stage in high heels, and he was helping them move safely. He apologized to the contestant if anyone was offended and explained that the clip was meant as lighthearted humor, not a personal attack. He emphasized that misunderstandings can happen easily, and he hopes people won’t take it too seriously or criticize his work.

This is not Lance’s first viral experience. In 2025, his cellphone was stolen, and the incident made headlines after the device was traced as far as China using a phone-finding app. The experience taught him to be more cautious, especially during public events, and he now keeps his devices secure with his road manager.

Currently, Lance is starring in the upcoming horror film Rosario, set to release on April 22, 2026, alongside his co-star and on-screen partner Aubrey Caraan. While Aubrey is experienced in horror, Lance admitted that this is his first project in the genre, which has been both exciting and challenging for him. He shared that he has a low tolerance for scary situations, partly because he occasionally experiences sleep paralysis, making horror scenes particularly intense. Despite his nervousness, he is embracing the challenge and looking forward to the film’s release.
