Man Who Pretended to Be a LET Examinee Arrested

LET Examinee Caught Pretending to Be Someone Else in Zamboanga del Sur

Authorities in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, arrested a man for allegedly impersonating another person during the recent Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).

The suspected impostor was identified after the Professional Regulation Commission–Region IX (PRC-IX) double-check identity system and the room watchers at Napolan National High School noticed that his appearance did not match the photo on his submitted Notice of Admission. Upon further questioning, the man admitted that he was not the registered examinee.

Investigators also discovered that the suspect is underage, according to a birth certificate presented by his family. He was temporarily placed under the care of the City Social Welfare and Development Office while authorities verified the authenticity of the documents. Officials are also considering filing charges against both the impostor and the person whose identity he had used. The investigation is ongoing, including efforts to determine if any accomplices were involved.

In a related incident, an examinee, Rasiya EB, was barred from taking the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LET) in Koronadal City after arriving just four minutes late. In a video she shared online, Rasiya explained that she had briefly stepped out to print an updated version of her Notice of Admission (NOA), as the exam staff required only the 2026 version.

Although she returned as quickly as possible, she was still denied entry for being slightly late, despite having an assigned room, seat number, and her name listed among the examinees. Rasiya expressed her frustration and disappointment, noting that all other requirements were in order and that the denial prevented her from taking an exam she had prepared for extensively.

In the video, she displayed her documents and recounted her experience, emphasizing how a minor paperwork issue, combined with strict time rules, ultimately barred her from the teacher board exam she had worked hard to attend.
