Bar Boys Star Odette Khan Confined to Hospital, Family Appeals for Help

After MMFF Win, Odette Khan Now Facing Serious Health Struggles

ODETTE KHAN – The family of the veteran actress is asking for financial assistance as she remains hospitalized due to serious health conditions. The award-winning actress has been confined at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute since February 21 and continues to receive medical treatment.

According to an official statement shared by her daughter, Claudette Avelino-Tandoc, on the Facebook page of the film Bar Boys, Khan is currently battling pneumonia, emphysema, and edema. As part of her treatment, doctors removed fluid from her right lung to help her breathe more easily. Despite ongoing care, her condition requires continuous monitoring and medication.

As of February 27, her hospital bill has reached more than ₱211,000, and this amount does not yet include doctors’ professional fees, laboratory and diagnostic costs, caregiver expenses, and medications. The family shared that their funds are quickly running out, and they are struggling to keep up with the growing medical expenses.
