Pastor from Victory Church Calls for Understanding Regarding Alvin Aragon
A pastor from Victory Church has called on the public to show understanding and grace toward Alvin Aragon following his recent statements, which sparked widespread online criticism.
On an episode of Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, Boy Abunda shared that the show had reached out to Pastor Nixon Ng of Victory Church Pasay to hear the church’s perspective. According to Pastor Ng, Alvin’s views on the LGBT+ community and the role of a father and husband in the family align with the beliefs of many Christians. However, he emphasized that expressing one’s beliefs should always be accompanied by compassion and understanding. Conviction and empathy, he explained, should go hand in hand.
He also noted that many Christians, particularly those who are new to their faith, can sometimes be overly passionate when sharing their beliefs. Over time, however, they tend to become more careful and considerate. Because of this, Pastor Ng urged the public to be patient and gracious, giving Alvin the opportunity to learn and grow.

Alvin, who first gained public attention as a contestant on StarStruck in the early 2000s, resurfaced in headlines in 2026 due to his comments on women and the LGBTQIA+ community. Some of his remarks, including criticisms of parents who accept LGBTQIA+ children, were seen by many as insensitive and offensive. These statements drew backlash from netizens and groups such as GABRIELA. Public figures like K Brosas also responded, emphasizing the importance of supporting and loving one’s LGBTQIA+ children.

Past discussions have also resurfaced regarding Alvin’s past mistakes, including admissions of theft in his youth. Personal family matters have further contributed to the public conversation, including conflicts shared by his stepdaughter, Sofia Trazona, who has expressed discomfort with past family dynamics and has chosen to live independently.
