YEISON JIMÉNEZ – The Colombian singer died in a tragic plane crash while traveling to a concert on Saturday, January 10, 2026.

He was flying from Boyacá to Medellín with four members of his team, along with the pilot and co-pilot. Shortly after takeoff, at around 4:00 p.m., the small aircraft exploded in midair, caught fire, and crashed. All passengers on board were killed.

Jiménez’s management confirmed the news through social media and expressed deep sorrow over the loss. They remembered him not only as a successful artist but also as a kind and passionate person who inspired many through his music and life story. Colombia’s civil aviation authority also confirmed the incident and launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash. Reports indicated that the aircraft was owned by YJ Company SAS, the singer’s business.

The image was taken inside the plane as it was moving on the runway. Mora was also among those who died in the accident, making the post even more heartbreaking.

His career reached major milestones, including selling out the Movistar Arena in Bogotá three times in 2024, a venue that holds over 15,000 people. In 2021, his song “Tu Amante” entered Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay and Latin Airplay charts, making him the only Colombian artist to achieve this recognition.
