Fiancé of Missing Bride Named Person of Interest

Fiancé Tagged as Person of Interest in Missing Bride Case

The Quezon City Police District has identified the fiancé of a missing bride-to-be in Quezon City as a person of interest as part of its ongoing investigation, while stressing that this does not mean he is a suspect.

Authorities said Mark Arjay Reyes was tagged as a person of interest because he was the last person known to be with his fiancée, Sherra de Juan, before she disappeared. Police clarified that this classification is a routine step used to help investigators establish timelines, verify details, and better understand the victim’s final movements. It does not imply guilt or wrongdoing.

Sherra de Juan was reported missing on December 10, just four days before she was scheduled to get married. She was last seen around 1:30 in the afternoon at a gas station in North Fairview, Quezon City. At the time, she was wearing black pants, a jacket, and a top, and was carrying a tumbler and a small coin purse. Her sudden disappearance raised concern among both families and prompted an active search by the police.

Investigators have stated that, so far, there are no clear signs pointing to foul play. They continue to review CCTV footage, phone records, and other available information to trace Sherra’s last known activities and possible whereabouts. Police emphasized that all leads are being carefully evaluated.

After being publicly identified as a person of interest, Reyes addressed the issue calmly and said he understands the need for a thorough investigation. He explained that he is focused on helping authorities move the case forward and on finding Sherra as soon as possible. According to him, the progress of the search is more important than any speculation surrounding his name, and he remains fully cooperative with investigators.

To encourage public assistance, Reyes has increased the reward to ₱150,000 for anyone who can provide reliable information that could lead to Sherra’s location. The family has appealed to anyone with knowledge about her disappearance to coordinate with the police or contact the provided hotlines.
