House Secretary General Speaks on Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte amid Many Issues in PH

PAOLO DUTERTE – The Davao Congressman seeks for a travel clearance to visit 17 countries abroad as per House Secretary General Cheloy Garafil.

Davao Cong. Duterte is one of the vocal government officials with regards to the supposed massive flood control corruption in the Philippines. He recently urged the Independent Commission for Infrastructure or ICI to investigate President Bongbong Marcos, his family, and former House Speaker Martin Romualdez.

The call of Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte to the ICC came amid his refusal to attend the ICI flood control investigation. The son of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte stressed that the ICI was created under an executive order and, citing the separation of powers, it allegedly has no power and jurisdiction over him.

Duterte also claimed that the independent commission which was formed under the order of Pres.Bongbong Marcos is allegedly the Chief Executive’s alleged “tool” to destroy the name of his sister, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, their father, and the “good name” of their family. He claimed that he is not backing off but he is against being part of an alleged “show”.
